Hello all,
I recently purchased a 3rd gen XL Arlo camera. It was a set with two pieces, which one works absolutely fine.
The other on actually doesn't, it started with trouble with connection. It suddenly lost connection and didn't regain connection again. When I suddenly moved in front of the camera it would become active again.
Last night it again lost connection, tried a reset this morning following the steps Arlo provides. No success unfortunately. At the moment it doesn't work anymore, as in, I can not connect it to my app. Tried a factory reset again but it won't work. When I waited a while, it was visible for connecting again, saying it wants to join my Wi-Fi network. I select the network, with the correct password and after that it says; Fault code 4608.
It also mentions my Wi-Fi password may be incorrect, which i'm 200% sure of it isn't.
I'm a bit frustrated about it since I purchased it with the term of keeping an eye out when I'm not around. Unfortunately I already threw away the packaging otherwise I would have returned it.

Hi Shane or any Arlo team member.
I have the very same issue as other recent Arlo Community members. I've been an Arlo customer for over 16 years, just bought 3 new Arlo Ultra 3rd Gen's. Two are connected. The third will get as far as asking me to "name the camera", but will then not succeed in naming it, asking me over and over to manually re-install, which I have done multiple times. I was on the phone for 3 hours yesterday with Arlo support with no success. I have the case number if you need it.
Please help! Thank you!

My problem was solved by Haphziba. I was able to speak with her via my request for a live Arlo agent on the Support Center Chat!! It was one very small procedure that I have not previously been told about. Holding the camera sync button for 15 seconds (instead of 5 as I had been told in the past) is the key! The camera will blink slow blue then amber. You can then proceed with the "Looking for camera" step and then naming your camera as usual. Kudos to Haphziba! Other users probably already know this trick - I may simply be late to the party. Lol.

@HomeSec2
That’s great, learned that trick last week. Unfortunately it didn’t work, at that point but I might be getting somewhere by making sure the camera is like really off, and get’s a hard reset. Also tested the other camera (which does work) with my Wi-Fi and hopefully it will work out well.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

When I posted this topic, I left the camera for about 4 days.
Not powered on, did a reset again when I got back. And now it seems to work, no clue what caused the problem.
