Not sure what you mean.  You do need to select the correct camera model when doing the install.

Though the Essential cameras can also be directly connected to your home wifi.

If you are talking about Pro 2 cameras (not Essential 2nd gen), then hopefully you are aware that all currently sold Arlo cameras require a subscription for cloud storage.
