error message says camera cannot be reached and is offline

My camera overheated while being charged. Now cioled down almost a day later and still getting the message. I have tried to restart but get an error message to say it cannot be reached. Do I remove it and then reconnect?

Overheating while charging, unless you had it in direct sunlight or other heat source, should never happen. I suspect the camera is now damaged. Use the app to go to Settings, Support and choose your camera. Scroll down to Contacts to see what official support may offer.
