arlo essentials outdoor won’t go into stand by mode

My arlo essentials outdoor camera won’t go into stand by mode.   This is causing the battery to run down very quickly.   I want to keep it in standby and just check the camera as needed.   It was working fine and just stopped.   I still get motion notifications even after i have put it into stand by.  lThe notifications are constant b/c I am using the camera ms to monitor horses who are constantly moving.

What is your current mode when this happens? Make sure there is no rule for that camera in the appropriate modes - if it's there, delete it.
