Video recorded to smart hub but no picture when viewing

Have the Essential outdoor 2nd generation cameras and the vmb4540 smart hub with local storage. Some recordings display fine but others only have audio and video is not shown. What can be causing this?

Often it is packet loss on the network.  Are you ever seeing the video freeze in the middle of the recording?
