It has worked fine for months but all of a sudden has started to record constantly hence draining the battery regardless of mode. Have tried to restart but nothing helps.

Have you gone into the Standby mode settings and made sure there is no rule for the camera there?

Yes of course, it does not really matter what rules I have - they all get "overruled" in the way that it records regardless. It records for 11 s and then it stops for30 s or so and then it starts again so I get like five hundred recordings over night.

Then I suggest removing the camera from the account, and then doing a hardware reset.  Do that by holding down the pairing button until the camera LED flashed amber (~15 sec).  Then add the camera back to your account.

The problem seems now to be solved. But it took approx a week for Verisure to remove the account so that I could remove the camera from the Arlo account. Doing a new installation seems to have done the job. Thanks. I will carefully evaluate this going forward.
