Start off by saying... This Arlo system is getting frustrating. I have tried 5 different USB drives to record a video. Something is recording because it's using up space. The USB's have been formated and are the correct type for what the system calls for. The arlo hub says "idle". I have no USB icon like I have read others have?? Am I suppose to have one on the Arol Pro SmartHub VMB4540? I have removed both device twice. I have reset the Arlo hub already..... I'm at my wits end on trying to get a video recorded and view it. I use the eject button to remove the USB....????? This thing is about to go in the trash and I'll just hard wiring another system in if I can't get this to work.

For anybody having troubles recording video..... Stay with me. After all the reading I have been doing trying to get my camera to record a video. None of them mentioned the solution. I ran across it my self. Remove all devices...Arlo hub and camera. Then add the Arlo hub back on the app. THEN (which after all the reading everyone failed to mention!!!!!) When adding your camera back on. When it asks about a Wi-Fi....Scroll all the way down to the bottom and add it thru the Arlo Hub. Don't just connect it to your Wi-Fi.  A day and a half and EVERYONE failed to mention this. Even ARLO themselves fail to mention this. DON'T add the camera to your Wi-Fi add it thru the Hub. Click + sign on the top right corner of the APP. Click "Camera" and find your style of camera. follow instructions to pair camera until you get to where it asks about the Wi-fi. Do not click continue. Click "Connect with SmartHub". Then it will say "We detect a SmartHub". Click "Continue". Do not click "Connect with SmartHub" here. Just click continue. Then name your device and keep click continue. I hope this saves at least one person the frustration I've went thru the last day and a half.
