New app scheduling impossible

Loved my old Arlo cameras and doorbell. Everything worked fine. Bought 2 additional "2nd gen"essential cameras and in order to activate, it made me download the new app.  What a nightmare. I've read the articles, spoken to numerous Arlo techs, googled and am now on this community chat. All I need to do is set one camera to record at night then not record during day, preferably at designated times. Nothing I've tried works. I think Arlo has some major flaws in the new app.

Can you provide details on what you want the other cameras to do?  Schedule changes affect all the cameras, so we need to know the overall schedule in order to provide any advice.
