I have 4 Essential Outdoor Camera - 2nd Generation in the same account.

I want 2 to be deactivated when I approach the house via a road into the yard and the other 2 when I enter another road into the yard. How can I do that?

Geofencing only supports enabling a mode when leaving or entering the area. It can't determine from which direction you're entering.

Yes, in this case it can as it is 300 meter between the roads so that can be done. But I cant make the settings. I just dond understand how to do it. I found some older tutorial videos but the settings does not look the same

Then my suggestion would be to reduce the radius to be Small. Trying to figure out what distance that may be seems to indicate around 200 meters but testing would be needed.

Yes, that I understand, but still; I don't undertand where or how to set upp the scene/action to just set 2 cameras in HOME mode. There is no such settings.

You can't do that with one mode - you'd have to use a different mode (Standby?) to accomplish this.

So how can I add different modes? .I cant find it.

Vefore I purshased these 4 cams I was told I can set them in HOME / AWAY / STANDBY all independed from each other but that does not seems possible

You can't.  The three built-in modes (Armed Home, Armed Away, Standby) can be customized, but you cannot add any more.

No idea who told you that, but that is not the case.

Home/Away/Standby cover all cameras in the location.  The only way to get more modes is to configure a second location - the three modes for that location will be independent from the existing location.  One issue here is that you'd need two subscriptions (one for each location).

Even if you had enough modes, geofencing still doesn't do what you need - no matter what radius you set.  The geofencing isn't set for each camera, it is set for the entire location.  Even if you were willing to go with two locations, you'd have to arrange cameras very carefully -

  • putting the first pair of cameras + your home within the radius of the first location, while keeping the second pair outside the radius
  • also putting the second pair of cameras + your home within the radius of the second location,  while keeping the first pair outside the radius

And if you could manage to do this,  you would end up triggering arrive and leave events as you walk around your property with your phone.

FWIW, I'm not understanding what exactly you want to achieve.  Personally I like to have my cameras trigger when I go down my driveway.  It is one way of documenting when I enter and leave.
