I'm trying to synch my Essential XL camera to my base station using the iPhone app.
The app says "Check that the camera has a pairing button on the top".
The Essential XL has the pairing button on the bottom. The app does not have instructions to synch with the pairing button on the bottom. How do I synch with the pairing button on the bottom?

Did you accidentally select the Gen 2 camera when you went into "add device"?

Hi, thank you for pointing out the 2nd Generation option. On the Arlo app on my iPhone that is the only option. I think the problem is that my Essential XL Spotlight camera is 1st Generation. There is no option on the app to synch with a 1st Generation Essential XL Spotlight. Do you know of a workaround? Is there a way to synch my 1st Generation camera.
Thanks

When I choose "Essential Series" on my iPhone, I see "Essential Cameras" below the "Essential Cameras 2nd Generation", and when I choose that, I see the XL model. I am using the "Feed" interface - it's possible you'll see something different with "Library".
If you aren't seeing that in the app, then try a PC browser (my.arlo.com).

Thanks. That's the solution!! I needed to scroll down further to get to the 1st Generation synch.
Thank you for your time and expertise.
