Good morning,

I would like to know if you can help me with the configuration of the Arlo system installed in my home.
I have three Essential XL cameras, a Doorbell, and a VNB5000 NA SmartHub.
- The SmartHub is connected to my home network.
- The cameras and the Doorbell are connected to the SmartHub.
- One camera and the Doorbell are installed outside the house, and they must be in Arm Away mode at all times.
- Two cameras are installed inside my house, and I should be able to switch between Arm Away, Arm Home, and Standby operating modes.
I don't know how to separate the indoor and outdoor devices so I can change the operating modes. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Then just modify Arm Home by removing the rules for the indoor cameras.

After that,

  • switch to Arm Away on the dashboard screen when you want to arm all cameras
  • switch to Arm Home when you only want to arm the outdoor camera and doorbell
  • switch to Standby if you want to disarm all cameras

You are thinking about this the wrong way.  Arm Away, Arm Home and Standby are system-wide modes that apply to all cameras.

I think what you actually mean is that

  • The Outdoor camera and doorbell need to be armed 24x7
  • The two indoor cameras need to be armed sometimes, and not armed at other times.

You can modify all three modes, so this is something you can do.  For instance, you can use

  1. Arm Away to arm all cameras
  2. Arm Home to arm just the outdoor camera and doorbell (disarming the indoor cameras)

Do you want to arm/disarm the indoor cameras on a schedule?  Or use geofencing?

Or are you just wanting to be able to disarm them manually?
