Hi all
Is anyone else having problems inviting a family member to the account.
I have now tried this in various ways ..
Through the app, through the website. Deleted the app and reinstalled.. just no doorbell showing on families account.
So now I wondering if I need a subscription to allow this to happen .. I am now getting to the end of my patience and very short of throwing this in the trash and buying a google or ring doorbell.
Can anyone offer any advice please before I do the inevitable.
Thanks

I don't believe a subscription is required but that severely limits what the guest can do/see. Without a sub, all you can do is to use local recordings which I assume you are using but guest accounts can't access that, unlike cloud recordings. Thus, to be useful, a sub is needed so the guests can view recordings.
Also, both accounts need to be using the same user interface (UI). The apps support both the old UI that uses Library to view recordings while the new one (which all new users automatically get) uses Feed. If you're still on the old UI, you must migrate your account to the new one so the guests can see your cameras and recordings. To migrate, choose to add a Pro 5 cameras although you don't have one. The first step is to migrate the account after which you can back out of the bogus install. Be aware that you can't go back to the old UI so you have to set things up according to the new, very different interface. In particular custom modes don't transfer so you must use the 3 default modes to do what you need. You also need to check (and possibly set up) schedules and geofencing, if used. FAQs for this are below to help out.
Once the UIs match, the guest needs to click on Home near the top of the screen and choose the bottom selection. Each user gets their own default Home location so they need to select yours. I suggest renaming Home so it's obvious.
