Need help with the notification for new device

I forgot my password and on creating a new one with my registered Arlo email, it sends the notifcation to the device LIVING ROOM 1. What does this mean? A notification going to the camera? I had to reset my phone due to a hacking incident and am trying to reinstall the Arlo app, but it keeps saying the notification has gone to device- Liviing Room 1. 

 

How do I log in without this notification? Isn’t there a way to get a text message and authenticate instead of this being sent to the device? And where can this notification be seen on the indoor camera?

Can you log in using a computer browser (my.arlo.com)? No idea what's up with "living room 1" - is that one of your cameras?

That would be a PC, tablet, or phone name.  Are you sure your Arlo account wasn't hacked when the phone was hacked?

 

Does this path give you an option to switch to another verification method (in particular email)?

When asking for another way of notification, it does not do anything until Living Room 1 is selected. It appears to be disabled for me. Is there a phone number to call support and have them disable this for me or should I create a new account? I cannot get into the app because it keeps saying- Notification sent to Living Room 1.  I can’t find the Arlo suppport number anywhere.

There should be a way to select email verification after the first verification times out.

No, you won't be able to add the doorbell to that account until you remove it from the old one.  Which you can't do, since you can't log in.

You send a dm by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right of the forum page.If you don't see it, then go into your profile settings and select preferences, then "Private Messenger." Then select "Turn on private messages" if it is turned off.
