Geofencing

I’m not sure what’s going on. I had my geofencing set up to be armed when away and a custom mode when home. I kept my outdoor and back yard cameras on in the custom mode for visitors/packages etc. Recently, when I get home my indoor essential cameras privacy shield will not close. I’ve removed and readded the camera, deleted the mode and red re entered it, worked with support. The point was for it to automatically work and now I have to remember to arm and disarm the system. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Bug in the app?

Exactly the same scenario and issue.   

Definitely an Arlo issue either app or servers.  


Don’t bother calling tech support.  They are useless.

Do you have the fire/smoke alarm enabled? If so, try disabling it.

Of all the dumbest things to make it not work. I tried it and it now seems to be working again. Guess it can’t see/smell the CO2 if the privacy shield is closed. Thank you for the tip.

Did nothing for me.    Everything went belly up after the most recent app update a few days ago.   Obviously an issue Arlo has caused on their server or app update side
