Essential Indoor camera not sending notification to friend account

I have the master account on this. The camera is working well and sends push notification to me, for motion detection, as it should. I granted access to a 'friend' account. He has downloaded the app, created an account, can log in and see the video feed, but he is not receiving motion sensors. I stumped as to why. I know it's not the camera,s since I receive them. I've checked his setting and he does not even have a 'smart notifications' section like I do. What do we need to do for the friend to receive motion alerts?

You need to add their phone for each rule for the operating mode.
