Have 4 (Md: VMC3030), but batteries run out quickly, especially when recording. Thinking about replacing a couple with a wired model (Essential Indoors?), and enrolling in a plan, Secure, so that I have service support. However, I'd like to a recommendation.

The essential indoor is a good choice for indoor use. It has no battery, so it won't work if there is a power failure.
.
The Pro 5s is another option which you could use outdoors or indoors - though it is more expensive.
.
The outdoor essential models are also a possibility for outdoor use - but personally I prefer cameras with a removable battery.
.
None of these models can be paired with VMB3xxx hubs. But you can connect them directly to your home wifi. Either way, you will need a subscription, as Arlo doesn't offer 7-day cloud storage on new camera models.
