Essential Indoor Camera Gen 2 and smart hub

I bought several Gen 2 essential indoor cameras thinking they would work the smart hub. It looks like I was wrong is that correct? Also, I have a Gen 1 essential indoor camera but I can not get it to show up in the 4540 hub.

The Gen 2 cameras don't work with any base station yet. Arlo has said here that they will be releasing that feature "soon", but they haven't said when.
