Renaming
Why am I unable to rename my essential and even though it shows strong connection it disconnects? And does cold weather or the percentage of battery effect connectivity?

You can rename your camera by navigating to settings in your Arlo mobile app. If the camera is disconnecting, this could indicate an interference issue at the cameras location. Try temporarily bringing your camera close to the Arlo Base Station or router it is synced to and test again to see if you experience the same issue. Arlo outdoor rated cameras are weather proof but depending on the conditions, extremely cold weather could impact your cameras performance.
