Hi.. Please refer to this article (https://kb.arlo.com/37/How-do-I-position-my-Arlo-wire-free-camera) for details on how to best optimize your camera positioning for optimal detection performance. PIR based motion sensing technology is more responsive to motion that cuts across the camera field of view than motion approaching the camera.
