Update as of May 18^th: The Arlo engineering and quality assurance teams are aware of the problems with video delay or lag when streaming from Arlo Baby on mobile devices. We are working on additional improvements that should significantly increase streaming responsiveness when using your Arlo Baby camera at full resolution, depending on network connection quality and wireless configuration. As soon as these updates are ready, we will expedite them to the App Store and Google Play. After these improvements have been released to the app store, your Arlo app will automatically update with the latest updates as long as you have automatic updates turned on, or you can update manually in your mobile app store. We will send you an email when the new app version is available.

Your Arlo Baby camera has two different viewing modes depending on what WiFi network and viewing device you are using to stream video from Arlo Baby:

• When you are viewing Arlo Baby video on an iOS or Android device that is on the same WiFi network as Arlo Baby, the video stream is sent to your viewing device and to the Arlo cloud at the same time, so you can view video from your camera with only a small delay.
• When you are viewing Arlo Baby video on any computer or on a mobile device that is not on the same WiFi network as Arlo Baby, the video stream is sent to the Arlo cloud first and then to your viewing device, which can cause delays because of latency. For example, if your mobile device is on the LTE network instead of on your WiFi network, you experience delays when streaming Arlo Baby video on your device.
