The other day there was a firmware update to enable HomeKit and fix some bugs. That’s great and our camera and iOS app updated to allow these functions. We connected to HomeKit without issue.
However since the firmware and connecting to HomeKit when we are in the Arlo app on the same network as our camera the stream for the device takes forever to connect. Before the firmware we would connect in 2-3 seconds now it will either take a while (20-30 seconds) to connect or it will not connect at all and have the spinning loading symbol.
Love stream in HomeKit is almost an instant connect when on same network.
Any ideas?

sagesofrpg,
Are you sure the connection is local? When streaming from the Arlo app, do you see the little house icon in the bottom left hand corner of the camera widget? This indicates if the stream is connected locally.

@JamesC We do not have the house. The phone and the camera are on the same wifi. Just double checked. We had the house all the time before the update.

sagesofrpg,
If there is no house icon, this indicates the camera isn't streaming locally. What router are you connected to? Are both the camera and mobile device connected to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band?

sagesofrpg,
If you're connected to the same network, the local stream should engage. Consider contacting the Arlo Support Team to further investigate this issue. You will find several options for contacting support in the provided link.
