Arlo Baby Has Completely Unreliable Connection

Arlo Baby, Firmware 1.10.0.0_923_488774b.
Device is literally one room over from a Netgear R6330 wireless router, almost line-of-sight. App CONSTANTLY reports the device as "Connecting..." but doesn't actually show a video stream (even though notification are coming through).
Resyncing and restarting has little to no effect, and that only temporarily.
This is criminally bad performance for a device being marketed as a "Baby Monitor."
