Amazon Fire OS as Dedicated Monitor for Arlo Baby

How well does the Kindle Fire work as a dedicated monitor, since they are no longer developing their own?  Does the feed time out?  We would like to use Kindle Fire 8" as our dedicated monitor overnight instead of relying on the alerts to prompt us to awake.

Haven't tested all night, but for the couple of hours I ran the K Fire ( new model ) , it didn't time out...

I would think it doesn't time out as Netgear was offering a coupon for past owners of a Arlo Baby due to the issue of not producing a seperate monitor ( see below )
