Will the doorbell alert me if someone is walking up my walk?

Will the doorbell alert me if someone is walking up my walk? Or do they have to push the Button to activate the Camera Thanks Patrick

The camera's motion detection should detect the person

The doorbell itself won't alert you unless the button is pushed. However, pairing a camera with the doorbell so the doorbell detects motion and the camera records. You can set a notification with that setup. Check out Settings, My Devices, your doorbell, Motion Settings.
