New arlo doorbell, phone is not new enough to have the updated app

I want to add the arlo doorbell to our system but my phone is not new enough to have the updated app but my wifes phone is. It won't let me add the doorbell from her phone because she is the shared device on this house and she is the main on our vacation home so it keeps trying to connect to our vacation home. Is there a way she can set this up on our main home or should i just return this until i am ready to update my phone.
