Can I connect Doorbell to Nutone Intercom System

I am considering purchasing an Arlo system with a wired doorbell.  I have an existing Nutone IM-5000 intercom system and would like to integrate the Arlo doorbell to ring the intercom chime (since I don't have a different chime). I found this video on YouTube to connect a Nest Hello doorbell and was wondering if anyone else has successfully hooked it up using the Arlo doorbell?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6YswmDNVyI&t=1645s.  I emailed the Nutone dealer/installer who posted this video.  He stated he has no experience with Arlo.  They both use a 16v system with a relay hooked to the chime.  Some of his customers says it didn't work and others say it did. 

 

Anyone have any experience with this?
