Can Audio Doorbell and Chime work without a smartphone?

Hi, Just wondering if this can work without a smartphone? Trying to find a replacement for a doorbell for my folks who aren't always near their phone. Thanks

My chime will sound quite loudly whenever the doorbell button is pushed even if I am nowhere near my phone, but in that circumstance I cannot answer the doorbell as the doorbell calls your phone. They can also have the doorbell leave a message to the person ringing the doorbell, if they are unable to answer theeir phones. I believe they can have multiple chimes connected to the doorbell.
