I have had Arlo set up for a few years, no issues.

Last week my app updated to the 'new version.

Since then my AD1001 Audio doorbell doesn't detect motion. Prior to the app update, whenever anyone walked past it would send an alert to the chime so you knew when someone arrived (without pushing the doorbell). Since the update this no longer happens and the option for Motion Sensor on settings has disappeared.

Obviously my hardware hasn't changed and something that Arlo have done to the software has stuffed this feature.

I have Uninstalled and reinstalled the doorbell and chime with no change.

When you press doorbell it still works with the chime.

The doorbell still flashes when it detects motion but haven't found an option for that to activate the chime.

Am I missing something, has Arlo just stuffed it up or is there another option hiding for this setting?

The current app supports two different user interfaces (UIs). The old one uses Library to view recordings while the new one uses Feed. Which do you see? I'm not aware of an automatic change from the old to the new UI - it has to be done manually or by introducing a new camera (Pro 5, security system or any Gen. 2 Essential camera).

Assuming you see Feed, check the following FAQs. Go into Routines and edit each mode you see there (Arm Away, Arm Home and Standby). Note that if you were using custom modes before, they don't migrate - you have to use the 3 default modes. The names don't really matter - use them as you need. Ensure that the doorbell has a rule and it has appropriate settings. Arm Away is likely the only mode with rules so you may need to create rules in the others. Use the Dashboard page to choose the active mode to verify that the rules are working.

Check the settings. I've found that after firmware upgrades or for some other unexplained reason, this stuff resets some settings. In my case it was the resolution of the video doorbell changing from 1536 down to 1080.

Thanks have sorted it.

Prior to deleting and adding the doorbell I couldn't find that option but after adding the device again it is there - bit hadn't gone and checked yet.
