Arlo is migrating to a new Arlo app this month, and you will need to download this new app in order to continue to access your Arlo devices and services.

After September 30, 2019, we will no longer support the existing app you are using, so all users must download the new Arlo app from the App Store or Google Play in order to continue enjoying the Arlo app with their Arlo devices.

Steve DOES posted a video on YouTube going over the new app and it's features, check it out here along with details for a giveaway!

What is changing?

Your recordings, camera settings, and account information will NOT be affected.

If you have set up Geofencing, you will be asked to re-enable your mobile device(s) in the new app to automatically trigger Home and Away modes based on location. After updating to the new app, the Arlo Legacy app will no longer trigger location-based mode changes.

If you are an Arlo Smart subscriber, you will need to enter your Call a Friend information again.

And, the new Arlo app will receive the latest bug fixes and features, including two-factor authentication (2FA) which adds an extra layer of protection to your Arlo account to prevent against unauthorized access.

Why are we requiring this change?

Arlo is now a separate company from NETGEAR, and we need to migrate to new, separate developer accounts on the App Store and Google Play.

What are the minimum supported specs of the new app?

Any phone or tablet with iOS 10.3 or Android 4.1.

For the best experience, we recommend devices with operating systems that are actively supported by Arlo: iOS 11 (or higher) and Android 5.0 (or higher). tvOS is not currently supported. We are working on a solution and will share more information at a later date.

What if I don’t download the new Arlo app by September 30, 2019?

After September 30, 2019, you will no longer be able to log in to your account via the Arlo Legacy app. We encourage you to act now and download the new Arlo app to ensure a smooth transition. Once you download the new Arlo app, just use your same Arlo login and password to access your Arlo devices. We then recommend deleting the old Arlo Legacy app from your devices.
