my Arlo is not recording automatically

since this month, my arlo cannot record video automatically, although I am still request to capture photo and record video

Is this happening on all of your cameras?

Try and power cycle the base and open and close the battery door on your cameras.

When you're in your Devices menu, is the 'running man' silhouette above each camera black or grey? Are you in the correct MODE for what you want it to do? Are the RULES within that mode set to how you want them to work? Do you get alerts/push notifications/emails but no recording?

I'm having the same issue on two of my cameras. For almost six hours this morning I neither received any push notification nor recording of activity I am sure the cameras should have recorded.  Both devices are showing active.

I found out it is using UDP 123 and TCP 80/443 after the firmware upgrade.

it was using TCP 80/443 before that.

 

my infra only allowed for TCP 80/443

looks like it is game over for my Arlo in my office.

 

I am not able to convince the infra to open firewall for this DHCP only device.

maybe I should request a statistic IP for this mac address and open firewall.

all these hassles, I might just go for other normal IP cameras.
