Night mode not working

The camera at night shows the red lights but viewing it on the app it's in darkness. Resink it works for one night and does the same thing again the next night any ideas

Does it record fine during the day? 

What firmware version is the camera running?

It's all good still records day and night but works for a say one or two nights in darkness. On version 2.4.2

You posted the app version, not the firmware version.  Settings, My Devices, your cameras and base, Device Info.

It appears that you're using an original wireless sysm, not a Pro - you don't specify.  If so, your firmware is out of date.  I show:

 

camera - 1.2.11810

base - 1.8.9.0_12185

 

Power cycle your base. Check your versions in Settings, My Devices, your cameras and base, Device Info.  If any show that there's an update, try it although you may need to wait overnight for it to happen.
