My new iphone 8 won't recognize devices

just purchased an iphone 8, downloaded the Arlo app, but when I go to add devices, I get back "no Arlo devices found".  I have followed all the steps for trouble shooting to no avail, other than re-setting the base station.  We have an android phone that is connected to the system and works fine.  Any ideas what to try other than re-setting the system?

What ios version is the iphone running & what version of the Arlo mobile app are you using?
