Slow white light the intermittent rapid

  • Old wired door. To old inside door bell worked fine. Electrician put in new doorbell and changed transformer. The whole thing has power.  Not constant white but slow intermittent whit and after reset blinks white slow and about 5 sec.   Dpi need a new power kit. It'll worked well until olddoir bell died.  Any help. Moral of story if old doorbell is acceptable don't touch it.  Thank you for help
