If you have had the above happen to you, amber light blinks twice and no action from the camera, open the case and push the battery, holding it firm with your finger. If the camera starts, you just found the real problem: bad contact of the battery with the jumper-like metal connectors.

When looking at all 4 of them, I found one to be sticking out more than the other three. Pushing it lightly inwards until it aligned with the other four solved my problem.

Netgear Engineering, please look into this.

This has been noted before, esp with rechargeable cells which can vary in phyical size on the ARLO cams

The thing is not to push in the cells but let the battery door.

On the Pro and Pro 2...one of the contact arms is meant to NOT be the same as the others as it is the ground lead and it is designed to contact the battery pack FIRST.  Do not bend it to match the others, but a removal and replacement of the pack usu fixes the issue.
