Hi,

I have Arlo pro 4 cameras and I use activity zones. I run the cameras on batteries.

I read somewhere that for Arlo Pro 5 I need to have the cable plugged in all the time to be able to use Activity zones. Is that correct?

That's true only if you don't have a subscription. Zones require either a subscription or AC power (or both). On battery power with a sub, the servers determine the activity vs. the zones while on AC power the camera does it.
