WHen motion record forup to 300 seconds not working?

Anyone else have this recently? when cameras trigger, instead of recording for until motion stops seems to be only recording for a set number of seconds like 5? I checked my schedules and armed settings and all cams are programmed for "when motion records up to 300 secs."

Anyone else recently begin noticing this?

Could be a couple of things causing this. 

1) You may need to increase the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules as well as reposition the camera so the motion detection area is enhanced.

2) Motion may not be detectable by the camera. Your eyes don't count - the camera has to detect it. You should test this by walking back and forth in front of the camera, slowly increasing the distance to find where detection stops. Also, remember that motion is best detected when it is across the FOV and not directly at the camera.
