"Window" mode

A lot of people have raised concerns about mounting cameras outside particularly if there isn't anywhere safe to mount the camera which is hidden from view or out of reach.

Would it be possible to develop the firmware to incorporate a dumbed down "window" mode which detects moving pixels rather than using the IR capabilities as the trigger. Then those of us in unsafe neighbourhoods can mount them inside if preferred. I thought all cheaply made monitor type systems worked like this so I wouldn't have thought it would be hard for the clever bods at NETGEAR to develop.

I know I have used a few other monitors which detect motion fine through a window, at least in the daytime. For night, you would only need an inexpensive IR lamp to light the area outside.
