I've recently purchased and installed 2 camers to keep an eye on my boat.

I'm running it with a wireless network on board.

I need the following functions.

1. To be notified on my mobile when an activation accures.

2. To be able to view the footage.

I don't think this is to much to ask.

The free subscription has run out. So now I am unable to access the feed inorder to view any clips.

I have never been able to get a notification to come through on my phone to alert me of an activation.

The app seems very limited and clunky.

I also own another branded system which does exactly what I need with no subscription requirements.

To me, this is the core function of the system which should not require a subscription.

Am I doing something wrong or have I wasted my money and bought a second rate system.

I feel like I've been scammed into paying for a subscription service.

Arlo 2nd generation cameras require an Arlo Secure subscription to save recordings to the feed. Otherwise, when motion is detected on the camera when Armed, a push notification will be sent indicating motion was detected, but no recording will take place.
