New doorbell isn’t in the hub for HomeKit

I replaced my old doorbell with the new gen 2 one and I followed the normal installation instructions. But it isn’t appearing in the hub app view like my other cameras and I don’t see how to add it. I also tried restarting the hub to see if it would take. Lastly, I don’t see a way to remove the hub from Apple HomeKit and readd it since it didn’t automatically appear in my Apple home app. Suggestions?

Hi @Peterjh3 

 

The doorbell needs to be connected directly to your Smart Hub to appear in the Homekit app. You are currently connected to your wifi router. 

 

If you would like to do this, you will have to remove and reinstall to the Smart Hub.

Did you connect it to the hub or to your home wifi???

Not sure what you mean by "hub app view".  Can you post a screenshot?
