@BrookeN I tried to factory reset VMB4540, but found that Internet LED was alternating Blue and Amber when I pressed and hold the reset button for 10 seconds, which is different from the description 'the LED on the front of the Arlo SmartHub or Base Station flashes amber' in the article (https://kb.arlo.com/000062881/How-can-I-factory-reset-my-Arlo-SmartHub-or-Base-Station-Arlo-Secure-4...). Then the internet LED was back to solid blue. It seems that the VMB4540 refused to be factor reset.
Try not to double-post.

I've sent a token reset request to your base station that should resolve the issue. Please reboot your base station (remove and reapply power) allow the base station to come back online and try setting up HomeKit again using these instructions:

I can try to reset it again, before doing the steps log out of the account and log back in. And then do the steps to set up without a code.

You will need to reset the basestation. Please keep in mind that you will need to add the cameras again after the reset.

Hi, can you send a token set request to my base station (VMB4540) as well? Thank you. The base station could not be discovered by Apple HomeKit for now.

@Roche09 under ther email address I am only seeing an Arlo Bridge. I do not see a VMB4540. Could it happen to be under a different email address?

Hi @BrookeN thanks for the checking. It is a sad story. Arlo case #45563986 was initiated on 12 Apr 2026 to request a token reset for my SmartHub VMB4540, as it could not be discovered by Apple HomeKit. The SmartHub was then manually removed from my account as per the post (https://community.arlo.com/t5/Partner-Integrations/Need-Homekit-Token-Reset/td-p/2477295), however, the SmartHub could not be re-added to my account after factory reset. You can find the details in the following post (https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Pro-2/SmartHub-VMB4540-could-not-be-added-to-Arlo-account/td-p/24...). Appreciated if you could advise the trouble shooting steps accordingly.
