A lot of us have had issues with geofencing. I did some research and found this work around using IFTTT and Life360. I've been using it for a couple of days now and it works like a charm. Basically, you set the geofencing option using IFTT and Life360 and then, if desired, use IFTTT with the Date & Time service to turn the units back on at a set time. For example, mine turns Arlo off with Life360 when the first family member gets home, arms Arlo with the Date & Time service when we go to bed, disarms Arlo when we get up and then arms Arlo again when the last family member leaves.
I also have IFTTT set up to turn on the outside lights and the light in my bedroom if Arlo senses motion during the night.
