Essentials Gen 3 using smartthings and siren issues

I am using essential cameras gen 3 controlled by smartthings.  I have an issue using the alarms.  When i try to set the cameras to strobe only, the siren gets is triggered.  I think there is a miscommunication between the cameras and smartthings.
