Cannot add VMB5000 to HomeKit

I have two Arlo VMB5000 base stations. I was able to successfully add one of them to HomeKit, but when I try to add the other through the Arlo app, it cannot identify it. It just sits on the “Discovering your device” screen. When I try to add it through HomeKit using the QR code, it says it says “Doorbell already added”, which makes no sense.

 

There are similar posts about this issue, and they have been resolved by someone at Arlo resetting a token. I have no idea how to make that happen. The chat is useless in this regard.

You can contact support (phone might be better than chat).  Or you can post a request here, and the mods will do it for you.

I've sent a token reset request to your base station that should resolve the issue. Please reboot your base station (remove and reapply power) allow the base station to come back online and try setting up HomeKit again using these instructions:
