I bought an Arlo video doorbell and a floodlight cam under the impression it would integrate with my appletv that I use to stream my tv content and would have a notification box pop up on my tv screen when my cameras detected motion. I was told by the support staff at Arlo during a chat that I needed to buy a hub for the cams to connect to HomeKit. Then I was told that even if I did buy a hub that I wouldn’t be able to get a notification pop up on the corner of my tv screen even though YouTube is full of videos that show that happening. After being totally confused by the support staff here I was wondering if anyone who knows what they are talking about can tell me how to get motion notifications to pop up on my tv that is connected to an AppleTV4k. That is one of the main reasons I chose Arlo since I did see on YouTube that this is possible to do in spite of Arlo support telling me it can’t be done. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

HI @Tig21
Thank you for the feedback, it sounds like there may have been some confusion.
Your floodlight camera is HomekIt compatible, but requires a Smart Hub or base station (VMB5000, VMB4540, VMB4500, or VMB4000). These devices are similar with a few feature differences. It look like you are connected directly to your router. Unfortunately at this time, the Base station or Smart Hub is a requirement for HomeKit. All devices that will be linked to HomeKit will require this.
Your AVD4001 Doorbell is not currently compatible with HomeKit.
I also have my devices utilizing HomeKit on the Apple 4k TV box, if you need further assistance I am happy to help.
I have provided our HomeKit article with more info regarding compatibility and requirements here: https://kb.arlo.com/000062279/How-do-I-connect-my-Arlo-device-to-Apple-HomeKit
