Hello,
I have SmartThings integrated with Arlo. I mostly use "Live" feature with those cameras to see my dog and not care about the motion detection during the day.
Is it possible to disable motion detection but leave camera ON in smartthings ?
Or motion detection itself will not really drain the battery (I just disgard all events coming from cameras motion detector)
Thank you !

Detection mode on uses a bit more power than Disarmed ( off) but not nearly as much as live view or record.
Best thing I can think of is lower the sense level 5% at a time to lessen the false triggers from the dogs

Thank you. I probably will need to write my own app to be able to change camera sensitivity based on mode.
Btw, just curious - Arlo itself - do they turn off motion detection w/o turning off the camera itself ? Seems like yes, they have this option in GUI but not sure if it really turn off detection or just discard the events when received.
