Received an email from Arlo team, stating the Company's End OF Life Policy would be in effect from Apr 1st 2023. Arlo Pro is on the EOF list.  To avoid buying a product that would be near EOF in future, anyone knows what is the Company's roadmap for End of Life of other products such as Arlo Pro 2, 3, 4 etc?

Pro 2 is already on the EOL list. Anything currently not on the list is subject to being declared EOL 4 years after production ceases:

We have no way of knowing when production stops - only Arlo knows. The policy is to give notice when a device is going to be declared EOL but we'll have to see how that happens.

If buying new cameras, the safest bet is to get the one with the highest number in the name (e.g. Ultra 2, Pro 5, etc.). If you know how the products rolled out, that can help, too - the wireless doorbell came well after the wired one.

@LC7:  This link might also be useful.

FWIW, I think the current policy is flawed, since users have no idea at all when production of a particular model will end (or even if it has already ended).  Hopefully Arlo will revise it, to make it more useful to people looking at new purchases.

Thank you for your valuable input.  Can Arlo Pro 5 and Ultra 2 be connected to base station?

For Wireless Doorbell, I was able to connect it with Base Station, but could not connect Chime 2 with the doorbell through base station.  Is there a procedure to follow to enable the connection of Doorbell with Chime 2 through base station?

The Pro 5 and Ultra 2 can be connected to a VMB4000 base or newer:

but not the Chime 2, which for whatever reason needs to be connected to your WiFi only.
