So far, I've been quite satisfied with the functionality of the Arlo skill on the Echo Show 5 we use as a remote viewer, with the exception of one glaring issue: redundant (and obstructive) notifications.
While actively viewing a camera feed, a motion detection event on the same camera will generate a motion detection announcement, which disconnects the active feed, requiring the user to reconnect and incur the communication/buffering delay. This is extremely intrusive, and renders the system far less effective for one of our primary use cases (using the Echo to remotely view activity following a motion announcement).
Is it possible to suppress announcements while the Arlo skill is in active use?
