I received my Arlo system today and was setting it up in my home this evening in preparation for leaving tomorrow for an extended period. Setup went without a hitch until I started getting motion detected email notifications every minute or so. The house is at 3700 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and we were in thick clouds all day. Tiny water droplets were blowing around resulting in all three outside cameras detecting motion; the droplets looked like snow flurries in the infrared video clips. I suppose I was fortunate because I would not have expected this had I not experienced it, and would have left the sensitivity at 80 on the cameras. I ended up having to adjust the sensitivity down to 40 before they stopped getting triggered by the water droplets. Now I get sporadic motion detection, in spite of having positioned my cameras within 12 or so feet from the exterior doors to my house. We spend a lot of time in the clouds, so this won't be an unusual occurrence. Is there any other way besides the sensitivity setting to address this environmental condition?

Are the cameras under an eave or something to help protect them from the droplets? I wonder if they are triggering because of droplets physically moving across the motion sensor. I've had spiders crawl across and trigger - perhps this is somewaht similar.

Yeah, not much you could do about that then except to somehow position the cameras so the droplets are (mostly) out of view. Just trial and error here...
