The scenaro is, the intruder notices your Arlo Q camera and quickly uplugs it. Will the abnormally truncated video file in the cloud be usable, or does it need to be closed out normally? Sorry, cannot do a test, as this is a pre-purchase question.

While I haven't tried this myself, the Q is always recording (to enable both the continuous video recording feature as well as to give you a few seconds of video to be visible before motion is detected). Wirelss cameras do indeed show all video before the feed is cut for any reason and I have no reason to believe this would be any different.

Have tested this with the Arlo cams a while back...
Set up to record for 30 seconds and started a record session... opened batteries at 20 seconds.
In the library was an aprox 20 second file
Morse is faster than texting!
