2-problems and solutions described here
Initally, my system stopped detecting motion and recording. I was able to go live on each camera but the system failed to detect and record a whole day of activity and events. The fourm offered some troubleshooting tips so i re-synced my cameras and this resloved the issue. My cameras started to detect and record again.
However
Notifications came through my iPhone and i was able to open the app and navigate to the library but i was not able to view the recordings (past or new). I could drag the status "dot" and see the recorded image change and update but it would not play. I even downloaded the vid to my phone and it did the same thing in my phone video libary. I was able to play the video when i logged into my laptop. I wasnt sure if the issue was with the Arlo system or my phone so i decided to cycle my phone off/on. This resolved the issue. Not sure how or why it happened but this system is starting to get on my nerves. Ive only had it for a 8 days.

Contact support. Maybe they need to review their iOS app. Or maybe it was just a one off problem with your iPhone
